Paul A. Sakry. He was born in St. Cloud Minnesota in 1871 and died 1953. He is buried at St.
Lawerance Catholic church in Duelm Minnesota along with his wife Francis Niedzielski.
They were married in 1897 at St. Peter and Pauls Catholic church in Gilman Minnesota. They bought some land from Paul P.
(his father) and started farming They
had eleven children:
married Helen Kaczmarek
and they moved south of the home place about one and one-half miles. Joe began to do custom thrashing and started the
Joe P. Sakry sand and gravel co. Later Joe
started the Sakry silo co. He made round wooden form and they would pour them full of cement. When it
dried he jacked up the forms and poured it full again top of the other. Later he made steel forms which
worked much better. The first two silos still stand on his home place today. There are hundreds of these silos standing today in the Santiago and Duelm area. Joe and Helen
had six children:

farmed east about three miles and later worked construction for PCI.

got into the gravel business with his father. He married Phyllis Nelson
and they had five children. Henry ran the Sakry Sand and Gravel Co
. until his retirement.

- Johnny joined the airforce. He got his wings at St. Thomas. He finishedhis time with the service and was due to come home when he was asked to do one more mission. On That mission his
plane crashed and he was killed. He left behind a wife and two children.

remaind on the home farm and still owns it today. He married Ramona Scott and they had thirteen children: Barb, David, Steven, Elaine, Diane, Arnold, Stanley, Warren, Ruth, Kathy, Allen, Linda
and Paul.

married and moved to Chicago Illinois. Her husband worked in the steel mills. She had two children:
- Joe
joined the service and was paralyzed from the neck down in a Jeep accident while on duty.
- Gilbert
worked in the steel mills with his father.
Ben

lived on the farm a while with his parents then moved to Chicago to work in the steel mills.A few years
later he was found in the spring frozen in the ice of lake Michigan. What actually happend remains a mystery but they suspect he was killed by a girlfriend.
Paul

moved to Chicago and worked in the steel plants. He was a machinist for the Ford Motor co. He married and had two children Deloris and Kenneth. Later
Paul came back to Minnisota to live near his parents farm. He then moved to St. Petersburg Florida where he later died.
Clara

and Gertrude were twins.
Gertrude

married and moved to Chicago. Her husband worked in the steel mills. He was killed while working there .
Adeline

stayed around home and did electrical and refrigeration work. His son Dennis
continued on with the business.
Clarance

moved to Chicago and worked in the steel mills .
Felix
helped Joe with the silo co. He rolled the steel for the chutes. Felix
and Joe also made three homemade tractors.
Felix like the rest of his brothers had fantastic ingenuity. They could build or make almost anything. I have many more stories on Felix and pictures. He is my grandfather. He took over the homeplace from Paul A.
and owned it until 1978. Felix married Alice Fiereck
. They had four children:

married John Kaproth and they had five children: Chuck, Debbie, Peggy, Doug and Tiffany.
They farmed north of Felix’s about 7 miles outside a town called Foley.
Marjorie
Peter Hall. They had four children:
Joe, Jeff, Todd and Terri.
Patricia
Richard Simmons and they had two children:
Brian and Bradley.

Nicholas. My father farmed with Felix
until 1978. He took a job at the Northern States Power CO in Becker Minnesota in 1976 and still works there
today. His home is directly behind the farm and is on some of the original Sakry Homestead
. I attended high school at Becker MN and graduated in 1992. Then attend St. Cloud State universtity for one year. I then purchased a 200 acre farm
outside of Foley MN in 1994 and began farming. I milked 50 cows and raised corn, alfalfa and soybeans. In 1997 I married
Jennifer Ann Bartz. We had two children: Terrance Nicholas and
Andrew Paul. In 2000 we moved to Sauk Centre MN in an effort to get into a more dairy community.

Ben lives 2 miles away. He married Jean Notch
in 1997. They took over her fathers farm and milk 50 cows too. Jean teachers School a Melrose
Elementary and they are expecting thier first child.
