Eine andere Theorie besagt, dass der Ursprung des französischen und englischen Familiennamens SACRE lokaler Natur sei und auf Leute angewendet wurde, die aus SANQUEVILLE stammten, Frankreich, in der Nähe von Dieppe. Der Name wurde mit William dem Eroberer 1066 nach England gebracht. Im Domesday Book wird Herbrand de Sauqueville erwähnt, der um circa 1070 vom Lord of Longueville in Buckinghamshire Land erhielt.

An other theory says that SACRE was originally a locational name denoting one who came from SANQUEVILLE, France, near Dieppe. The name was brought to England with William the Conqueror in 1066.
