The information I have on the family is limited but may tie in to the information someone else has, I sure hope so.
I will use the spelling as Sacra
although I have found it spelled Sacre, Sacrey etc. in Virginia and Kentucky unless I think the other spelling is important
to show. Simon Sacre b. England, his son Simon Sacre, Jr, his son
James Sacrey b. abt 1720 Caroline County Virginia d. abt. 1788, Caroline County Virginia, on the tax roll there in 1783 to 1788. Then his son -
Isaac Sacry
b. abt. 1745 Caroline County Virginia and d. 1809 Shelby County Kentucky he married 12-24-1780 to Elizabeth George from Caroline County VirginiaHe served in the Rev. War of 1776 and received a pension and maybe the land where he moved to in Kentucky. I show he had at least six
sons from 1781 to 1799 born in Virginia and Kentucky and I have not found the link to my line but believe this Isaac is either the father or uncle to my Sacra family. Hopefully someone else may have more
information . I have found many of the Sacras from Kentucky moved to Indiana and settled there and my Sacra family moved to Missouri. My Sacra family--
